Di Griffin
Counsellor (Alcohol and other drugs)

Di joined the AWAHS team in early 2008 bringing with her over 20 years nursing, the last 6 working with and advocating for marginalized/disadvantaged youth and adults with issues of homelessness, substance misuse, mental health, sexual abuse, domestic violence and disabilities. Di spends one on one confidential time with her clients and their families who are seeking to address the harms associated with substance misuse and takes a collaborative approach to her work. She believes her clients are her most important teachers. Di's positive outlook on life and extensive experience make her a valuable asset to the AWAHS team.

     
 

Joanne Taylor
Bringing Them Home Worker

Joanne joined the AWAHS team in mid 2009 bringing with her almost 10 years experience. She has worked as Project Officer with the Central Australian Stolen Generations & Families Aboriginal Corporation in Alice Springs and also Family History Officer in Canberra with the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Studies. Joanne enjoys meeting people and the variety her job brings. Joanne feels greatly honoured sharing her client’s journey and is a valuable member of the AWAHS team.
