Dr Gordon Taylor _________________
Gordon is one of the original AWAHS Doctors and brought with him over 15 years experience in general practice (Yarrawonga) as well as a graduate Diploma in Education from Ballarat College of Advanced Education, a fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and one from the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Gordon has developed a broad range of medical interests including Cardiology, emergency medicine, diabetes, minor surgery (particularly skin excisions and repairs) and the broad range of mental health issues. Gordon is an integral part of the AWAHS team and is usually fully booked well in advance. |

Kate Taylor ___________ Clinic Nurse, Midwife
Kate has been the face of nursing and midwifery at AWAHS since early 2008. She is originally from the UK but was raised in Australia. She studied midwifery in England and brings with her 38 years of Nursing experience including working in West Africa for 4 years and in the Northern Territory for over 6 years where she was adopted in to the Yolngu family of Arnhem Land. Kate is married to George a Yamatji man from WA and is part of our Aboriginal community. Kate see's all AWAHS clients and in particularly mum's and bub's, Health Checks for adults and children, Immunisations, Womens Check-ups and Helping people get in to see the Doctor. Kate is full of energy and can often be heard singing to her self from across the AWAHS building. |

Rohan Langstaff ________________ Chronic Disease Nurse
Rohan joined the AWAHS team as Chronic Disease Nurse in late 2009. Rohan’s passion for Indigenous health stems from over 8 years experience as a Registered Nurse, including 7 years in the Northern Territory as a Remote Areas Nurse. Rohan identifies people at risk of chronic disease and takes time to ensure they have the necessary knowledge to better look after them selves as well as ensuring they receive the right treatment, get the right tests, see the right doctors and get the right medication. Rohan enjoys meeting new people, the variety each day brings and is a valuable member of the AWAHS team. |
