Our Clients:
Our Practice is funded for the provision of Health Care Services to the Indigenous Community and their immediate family.

Appointments:
Please phone 02 6042 1200 for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time. Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your GP has been called away. Longer consultation times are available, so please ask our receptionist if you require some extra time when booking your appointment. TRANSPORT is available and should be booked at the time of making your appointment.

After Hours Care Arrangements:
Our Practice provides care for clients 9-5pm Monday to Friday, closed between 12.30pm and 1.30pm for lunch. For after hours care, please phone Albury Base Hospital on 6058 4444 or present at the Emergency Department in Borella Road, Albury.

Emergencies
In the advent of any emergency clients should immediately call for an Ambulance by dialling 000.

Home Visits:
Where clients are unable to attend the practice due to a medical condition, they may arrange for a home visit by our Health staff. To organise a home visit, clients should phone our reception to arrange a relevant time.

Services Available:
Routine check ups, Adult Health Checks, family planning, Pap smears, pregnancy tests, ECG: heart check, counselling, vaccinations, minor surgery, stitching cuts, skin checks and removal of moles and sunspots, liquid nitrogen freezing therapy for sun spots and warts, nutritional advice and home visits.

Reminder System:
Our Practice is committed to preventative care. From time to time we may issue you with a reminder notice offering you preventative health services appropriate to your needs. If you do not wish to be part of this system please let us know.

Fees and Billing Arrangements:
The AWAHS is a Bulk Billing Practice and no fee is charged to our clients for consultation. Please bring your Medicare Card and Health Care Card. If you don't have a Medicare Card, we can get one for you.

In the case of 3rd Party Claims - accounts will be sent out to the relevant insurer/3rd Party.

Management of Your Personal Health Information:
Your medical record is confidential. It is the policy of our Practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only made available to authorised members of staff and other relevant health providers with your consent.

Your Rights:
If you have a problem, we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your GP, our Practice Nurse or Receptionist. You may prefer to write to us or use our suggestion box. We take your concerns, suggestions and complaints seriously. However, if you wish to take a matter further and feel that you need to discuss the matter outside of our Practice, there are several options available. These include the Medical Registration Board, AMA or Health Care Complaints Commission (address below).
